FAQ
Fair questions.
What leaves my browser?
Nothing, until you ask. Signed out, TabNorth is entirely local. Clicking Organize sends the current window's tab titles and URLs to our server, which passes them to an AI provider to propose groups. Signing in syncs the groups you choose to save. The full accounting is in the privacy policy.
Do I need an account?
No. The tab pane, drag reordering, and the quick switcher all work signed out. A Google sign-in is only needed for AI organizing and for saving groups to the cloud.
What counts as an “active” saved group?
A saved group sitting in your cloud list, ready to reopen. The free plan holds 10 at a time; archiving a group frees its slot without deleting anything.
Which browsers does it support?
Google Chrome on desktop, version 121 or newer. Other Chromium browsers may work but aren't tested yet.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Deleting your account from inside the extension removes your profile, saved groups, and usage records. You can also email us and we'll do it for you.
How does the Pro trial work?
Your first subscription starts with 7 days free. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. The trial applies once per account; Stripe shows the exact terms before you confirm.
